World of Warcraft: warriors won’t be obsolete when WotLK comes out .May 19th, 2008
When you talk about tanking in Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, you can’t help but mention protection warriors. However, some gamers have become worried that this class’ days are numbered with the Death Knight’s introduction in Wrath of the Lich King.
Europe community manager Vaneras commented on this saying that it is “silly to think that the Death Knight will make other classes obsolete.” He also tried to reassure the community that there will always be a place for the old classes:
I don’t think Warriors will have anything to worry about in WotLK, because they will not be replaced by the Death Knight. Warriors will still be needed in groups and guilds, as they have always been, and they will still be great tanks. This also holds true for Druids and Paladins by the way.
Vaneras further stressed this by saying that they’ve noticed “quite a few posts recently saying that there are too few tanks to go around” something they hope to remedy with the addition of the Death Knight.
There you have it guys, don’t worry about your characters becoming made obsolete because of the new class. Keep checking back here for more updates on world of warcraft.
